This product is a great item to retrofit your helmet with a speaker. The product’s audio is loud and clear, and comes through without any crackling or audio distortion, allowing you to clearly understand the speaker. The product’s flexible technology also really simplifies the installation process, allowing you to quickly adjust the shape of the speaker to better suit your particular ear shape and size (my pointy ears are very thankful for this feature). The product, as a result of that and the included velcro stickers and easy-to-use extension cables, is very simple to install and only takes a couple minutes from start to finish.
Overall, this is a good product and I would recommend.

Much better than the Cardo JBL Speakers
I run a Cardo edge with the Iasus Ear3H amp and these XSound4 speakers. I also wear earplugs when riding. They are PUNCHY and have a lot of bass. You can feel the bass vibrate in your helmet and against your ears with this speaker paired with an amp. The JBL speakers don’t get nearly as loud without causing a lot of distortion. The bass on the JBLs is also weak, Even when tested with an amp.
With the XSound4, I’m able to crank the volume knob up to about 80 percent on the amp without any distortion. After that, it starts to get distorted but you really don’t need it any louder. Being able to increase the volume that much makes it so I can hear music clearly no matter the wind or speed I’m going. I also ride a naked bike so I’m getting a lot of wind when riding.
I’ve noticed these speakers naturally have more bass when compared to the Cardo so I did adjust my EQ settings to have less bass to compensate. It sounds perfect to me on most genre songs when using both Spotify’s EQ Bass Reduction setting and Cardo app’s bass boost setting.
Overall, I highly recommend it only if you plan on running an amp in your set up. JBL and Xsound4 are about on par without an amp. I do not think the Cardo alone can make use of the potential of these speakers. With an amp, there is a clear winner. So if you’re looking for an upgrade for your Cardo, an amp is a must otherwise you’re better off just sticking with the JBLs that came with it.

Easy to use and great quality
I am an experienced rider and long time helmet communication device user. I’ve tried a lot of what’s available, from the first FRS type setup to the newest Bluetooth type and found the Iasus XSound 3 helmet speaker to have the best audio and build quality in my experience.
I purchased two XSound 3’s in the past and set them up in two helmets for me and my passenger. On my loud Harley sound volume and clarity is a must.
Was super excited about the XSound 4 and it was a surprise that the product was even better than previous generation models. More comfortable and sound feels a bit louder too. Easy to install and set up. You’ll be ready to go on the road with your passenger or friends in no time.
They are pricy but the attention to detail in the design is by far the best I’ve seen. Highly recommend if you can afford this setup.
