The only thing that I didn't like was it only came with one coiled cord in the box when I need two of them. Fortunately, I ordered two amplifiers, in which I was able to take the cord from that one to complete the installation of the amplifier. I have been using the XSound 3 for years and have been great compared to others I tried. Bought the Audio Amp as at high speeds and windy conditions the volume just wasn’t enough through a Fiio BTR5. The amp is a perfect addition to boost the volume without any distortion. I then figured I’d try the XSound 4 for my main helmet and put the 3s in my secondary helmet. I’ve been wearing Arai helmets the 46 years I’ve been riding because of their safety and much quieter than other brands. Just installed the XSound 4 with the amp and AMAZING. Night and day from the 3s. The base and treble is amazing, no distortion at all. Way more comfortable as well. No pressure points and great for the all day rides I do. I’d recommend these to everyone wanting HIFI quality sound and the amp is a must have as well.
It’s ok 119$ but almost 200$ with shipment and taxes is too much in Poland. Delivery from China doesn’t help. Noticeably better quality than original Cardo Edge speakers but still transfer of low frequencies is weak. That’s the trouble of helmets acoustics, a bit disappointing. Speakers are still too far from ear with some padding between. In the consequence bass is always insufficient. Should be ridiculously strong to obtain acceptable level. Or to use bone conduction???
Better but not perfect.
