The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for all social media initiatives and outcomes to meet business goals such as brand awareness, brand engagement and sales. This includes developing the enterprise social media plan and calendar, creating & managing content and executing initiatives across key social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and emerging channels. The Specialist will provide advice and counsel on social media tools/workflow and insurance industry trends/ products, identify, and implement KPI metrics and provide regular reporting to assess social media performance.
This is a fast-paced, performance driven role that would suit a candidate who has experience in social media communications, and content creation – all with the goal of driving business results through effective integrated social media campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Create, curate, plan, research, and execute a social media strategy that leverages knowledge through customer insights, competitive research, and audience personas
- Manage final campaign strategy/setup and campaign launch
- Maintenance of paid search, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google and other new media, based on campaign objectives
- Analytics reporting, daily and monthly
- Daily and monthly campaign budget and spend rate
- Respond to questions from colleagues on SEM, social and audience remarketing.
- Process budget authorization documents at all stages.
- Manage ongoing paid search: writing/editing ad text, keyword expansion, bid and budget changes
- Basic tag setup and maintenance using Google Tag Manager (GTM)
- Basic audience management and reporting setup
- Identify and implement tactics to drive key social media outcomes such as followers, awareness, engagement, and organic site traffic
- Create written, visual and video content for marketing and branding purposes with the goal of increasing conversions, as well as amplifying and enhancing the IASUS Concepts brand; to help drive positive conversations, loyalty and advocacy for our products, our brand and our story
- Be responsible for the content on our IASUS Concepts website, including writing copy, producing visuals with graphic designer, creating videos, animations and updating the website as needed.
- Oversee the content on our social media channels, including working closely with the marketing and management team to ensure the content is engaging and on-brand.
- Create video content as needed, including being comfortable on-camera if required, shooting video, recording voice-overs, and editing videos.
- Shape the content marketing strategy by offering your innovative ideas, applying your expertise, and bringing your creative mindset to discussions and weekly growth team meetings.
- Oversee the production of the monthly newsletter and blog content, with the support of some other internal/external contributors.
- Collaborate with internal and external parties on IASUS Concepts marketing projects.
- Look for ways to improve our processes, share resources, tools, and learnings, improve efficiencies, and increase productivity.
- Track KPIs and measure social media performance through data analytics and reporting
- Draft quarterly and annual priorities, with the guidance of the president and in collaboration with our sales team.
- Meet with, and report to, the president on a weekly basis, communicating cascading messages, issues, and ideas (via video call).
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
- Post-Secondary degree or diploma, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related work experience required
- Minimum of 2 years in social media marketing with demonstrated success
- You enjoy capturing content and are comfortable being on-camera when creating video content for social media and other video collateral as needed.
- Strong typography and layout skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally.
- Experience and knowledge of social media advertising platforms
- Self-motivated with strong project management skills & attention to detail
- Strong data analytics skills with working knowledge of various data tools
- Highly collaborative and effectively works with key stakeholders across the company including senior leaders
- Experience with social media platforms
- Experience managing and working with external vendors, agencies & partners

Nice to have:
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, in particular: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects
